About us: The Pavilion Indochine is born of the imagination of two French natives both married to Asian natives. Frederic Amat, journalist and photographer, covered the news of the Kingdom for several years. He is also a writer and knows everything there is to know about Angkor history. Frederic Rieu, father of little Melissa, was a restauranteur firstly in the Pacific and then at Phnom Penh, before settling in Siem Reap. He is very knowledgeable about Cambodia and is a source of valuable advice and guidance for any planned excursions. Its since their own extensive travels that the two Frederics came up with the concept for the Pavilion Indochine, described by the Lonely Planet as 'a splendid guesthouse' with a 'unique atmosphere'. Situated slightly outside the small town Siem Reap, Pavilion Indochine is the closest hotel to the Angkor temples.

Excellent location. Only 5 minutes by car/bike to Angkor Wat and 5 minutes from town. The staff was exceptionally helpful and the accomodations were great.

We loved the furniture and decor at Pavilion Indochine and enjoyed the restaurant food! There has obviously been a lot of thought gone into the place and staying there, in such beautiful surroundings and so close to Angkor, made my 30th birthday extremely memorable. Thanks to everyone there.

I arrived at the Pavillion after a 7 hour boat trip suffering from sun stroke and felt absolutely awful. I spent the first 24 hours there recovering in bed! After that they arranged a fantastic guide for the temples and really added to my stay in Siem Reap - dont go anywhere else!close
