Photos: Tim Crockatt Earthwalkers is a western managed guesthose with a great atmosphere. The restaurant, bar and garden area with swimming pool and hammocks, are great places to relax after a long exiting day exploring the Angkor temples. The 21 rooms are comfortable and clean, with fan or aircondition. All have western standard private bathrooms, with hot water. Earthwalkers offers a wealth of information and travel advise, and we are more than happy to arrange transport and tour bookings both for groups and individual travelers, in order to suit YOUR special requirements. Contributing to the local community playes a central role within Earthwalkers` company values. We are, for example, happy to present Apsara dancing every second Sunday at 7.00 pm, performed by orphans. Free pickup from anywhere in Siem Reap (the airport, bus station or boat terminal), and a free set of breakfast is included.

staff was quite friendly & helpful, rooms were minimal but adequate, breakfast was decent, being outside of town was not an issue as tuk-tuks are readily available, as hostels go it was really nice, would stay again.

Overall, great place to be, and the pool was a definite plus! The bed and pillows were always a bit musty and damp feeling (pillow was not really usable due to the smell).

It is a bit far out of town but you can get into town for $1 on a Tuk Tuk. Additionally there are plenty of other restaurants nearby but they tend to a bit more expensive than those in town due to the number of expensive hotels close by. All in all a great stay!close

The only downside was how UNBELIEVABLY hot it can get on the top bunks, as the fans don't do much. The downstairs bar and pool table room are very nice, and there is a beautiful balcony overlooking a cow pasture behind the rooms. The staff was also extremely pleasant and helpful in arranging all our transportation and entertainment. The only two minor drawbacks are first, its about 1km outside of the main town. This was actually kind of nice, because its off the main road a bit, and there were cows and chickens around, as well as tons of croaking frogs at night. Also, it only costs 1 dollar to take a tuk tuk in to town. The second drawback is the bathroom, which had a very weak shower that smelled, and poured directly next to the toilet. Neither of these two drawbacks would keep me from going back in the future though, especially for that price.close

Good place to stay but quite expensive compared with similar. Also when booking trip found paying more than everyone else a sure sign that comission comes into the deal. For that reason would not return as feel if taking more than others on transport deals what other extras are they taking.
