Because of how high it is, it is quite cold which makes a nice change from the humidity in the rest of India. The town is very old-english looking, with white buildings with black wood. Nice relaxed atmosphere in the town with a great view of the himalayas on a clear day. It is also the only place that I have been in India where there is space to move on the streets!close
