Sasha’s occupies a big red villa formerly home to the infamous Soong family. The three-storey bar offers a relaxed, colonial vibe, great mojitos and an expansive courtyard with comfy wicker chairs. Sharing the garden, Mexican cantina Zapata’s is the place to be on Wednesdays – free martinis... more

Wow...That was the only word i could say for the first half hour after entering Bar Rouge..this nightclub is on the very top floor of one of Shanghai's many skyscrapers on the Bund... It was a scene straight from Sex and the City, complete with barmen who lit the bar on fire, lit the DJ box on... more

A two-storey heritage villa on quiet Anting Lu, Cotton’s exudes warmth and elegance, with open fireplaces, a fabulous backyard deck and bar, to-die-for espresso martinis and it has a laid back friendly vibe.

Deep in People’s Park, on the edge of a still lake, candlelit Barbarossa glimmers like a mirage. Step inside to find three storeys of maharajah chic filled with North African antiques and the latest hip-hop beats. New Heights serves Western food with a nod to Southeast Asia. It’s the most casual and affordable option and boasts the best view in the house from the wraparound terrace.

Adjoining Glamour Bar – reminiscent of a 1930s Hollywood movie set and serves excellent Martinis, stay clear of the Motio’s however if your are not partial to dried mint.

Some like it, some don't... but they all end up there anyways :). Why? Because it's cheap and usually crowded with foreigners. There's an entrance fee on fridays and saturdays. My tip: Go there on thursday, U won't regret it!
