We were impressed by the extensive variety of the dishes available at breakfast and the friendliness of the staff. The location is good too because even though it is close to many of Shangai's main attractions, it is away from the main streets which makes it quiet and peaceful. I recommend this hotel and look forward to coming back some day.close

Hotel was advertising nice views to the Suzhou river, but the truth was something else: empty, filthy piece of land behind the river, looked like someone has exploded nuclear weapon there or something like that... Staff made their job well, we wanted taxi to the airport early next morning, and we really get it on time. They actually made phonecall to us in the evening to confirm taxi's arrival time.close

This hostel is nothing special, but it offers a close position to the subway and most of Shanghais attractions and very clean rooms. But it isn't worth it to stand up between 7 and 9 AM to join the breakfast.

It's new, but pretty worn-in considering it's only a year old... On the plus side... This place is very central - just a short walk from Nanjing Lu and the Bund. Quite helpful staff (but non-English speakers) when one of our band-members left his mobile phone behind and it had to get posted on. On the minus side... the restaurant has different prices on the English version of it's menu versus the Chinese version. That's always an indicator for me! Overall pretty good value - for Shanghai - and great location- almost like a leaf out of Home Inns (Home Inns is big Chinese chain of good value hotels) book...close
