Brilliant hostel, more like a hotel really if you take one of the double rooms. Great bar serving decent food, good staff and well sited for Shanghai sites. Bit subdued when I was there, but it was a Monday night and raining cats and dogs outside. Would definitely stay here again

The location is close to the Peoples Square subway station. The hostel looks cool and has a bar in it to meet others.

Best Location in Shanghai. Really Close to Peoples Square Metro Exit 9. Bar has great food at cheap prices. Only downfall here is that the wireless internet is terrible. Would only connect for a few minutes then disconnect. Better off going to the coffee shop across the road.

Can't agree with the earlier post about moody staff, in my case they were very nice and helpful. The only thing moody is the internet and wireless (occasionally not very responsive), it is however provided free of charge. Apart from that a great stay in a clean and friendly hostel!

Common area/bar has great deals on beer/food and a good 25rmb American breakfast. Wifi exists but was very unreliable while I was there. Very clean in the rooms.

Nice. but big, hostel near People's Square. The rooms are clean (and have (almost too) many airconditioning!), the beds are comfortable, the food is good, the beer is cheap, so we enjoyed our stay :)

It is a totally okay hostel. Nothing special. The food is okay but not anything special. Hadn't so much contact with the personel so I really cant say how helpfull they were but it feels that you dont get that personal connectio as you might at a smaller hostel. God location.

It's a nice place to stay with a really cool bar and social area. It would help if they had one or two more computers for their guests, but I enjoyed my stay and would probably go here again if I ever revisit Shanghai.

Amazing hostel, best in my travels, but no Wifi in room which isn't a hard service to provide. They do however have 2 computers free to use and wifi access in the lounge area.

They only have 2 computers for internet. The connection is not always good. Next to that some of the staff are a little bit moody. But it still is a great hostel and I would stay there next time.

I went to 3 of the ming town branch hostels, all of them have traditional chinese interior, helpful staff, and great places to hang out. Best hostels I've stayed at!

rooms nice but a bit dark, internet was playing up and only 2 terminals for the whole hostel, information at reception scarce...ie maps, travel info, places of interest, assistance with bus and train tickets etc..otherwise a pleasant place to stay with nice garden and bar area.

I really enjoyed staying there. The atmosphere is great. The location is okay, however it is kind of far to the Bund - if you don't mind walking. It was the best hostel I have stayed in China and I would recommend it do everyone. Would definitely go back.
