Level of spoken english could (should) be much better. Quite far from the center, and in the evening difficult to get back to by public transport. Quie unappetising neighbourhood.

A hardworking hostel that bent over backwards to accommodate you. Staff were really friendly and the rooms spotless. Can't ever remember sleeping quite so well. Could do with more toilets/shower cubicles

It isn't really 24 hours like they claim. My flight got in 2 hours late and I finally reached the hostel by 3am, but noone was there to check me in and give me a room. On the whole though, I was very pleased with the service and room.

Very good directions to get there. A/C!! and close to metro stop. Try the little eating places on the way to the metro... yummy and cheap!

Le Tour was a great place to stay in Shanghai. It was close to the metro station so it made getting around Shanghai very easy. The staff were fantastic and very helpful with everything. The rooms were good sized and very clean. Overall Le Tour is a great hostel to stay at and I will definitely...

Great staff, very helpful nicer than most in Shanghai. I went there for a quiet time, which was good for the DVD room at night. I wouldn't come here to party. Also, get meals on the street, very cheap!

It took me over an hour to find this place even with directions and the address- it's on a street with construction for who know how long so cabs can't drive directly to it. Its also on the outskirts on Shanghai, not deep in the city, which I liked because I was in Shanghai for 6 weeks but if you're there for shorter, pick something more centrally located.close

Maybe the hostel should have more than two computers available for net access (always busy), although there is a net bar across the road.close

Great hostel, although not in an area where you can just walk to much, however it is VERY close to a main train station which gets you everywhere very quickly. Staff are very friendly and the hostel is very clean and feels very safe.

Very nice and clean hostel. Only a few minutes away from the subway, so a perfect location. We had some troubles with booking the traintickets to Qingdao, but the staff was very helpfull and helped us with everything. Very clean, so I would advice this hostel to all of you!

Great place, nice staff but EXTREMELY BAD LOCATION! If you plan on staying out later than 10PM you'll be getting a 35 minute cab ridep. I enjoyed it so much that I stayed in Shanghai an extra night! Just because of this hostel!! It's right on the subway line and only takes 10/15 minutes to get to most tourist locations in Shanghai so the location doesn't really matter. Security, staff and cleanliness is what matters and this hostel definitely excels in these areas!close

close to shanghai subway station in a local neighbourhood. easy connection from both shanghai and shanghai south stations. clean, comfortable. would recommend.

although this hostel is not in the nest location, it is close to a subway station. it was one of the best hostels i have ever stayed in and would recommend it to anyone. it was clean. the staff was helpful and spoke english. there was an ac in the room, which was nice.

nice hotel, with large common rooms, very welcoming. a bit out of the way but in a calm area. nice staff though semi-broken english. think of the airport pickup: it saved my life! (though i had booked it only a few hours before i landed!). there are kittens !

amazing place...everything is above and beyond what you would expect. Ive been abroad for 3 years, and this is the nicest hostel Ive ever stayed in, hands down!

Not smack bang in the middle of town, but still a good hostel- internet, dvds, books, magazines, food & drinks, etc. Close to the subway to visit the many sights in Shanghai.

Excellent hostel. Great price for the services it provides. Food is good, common area is very relaxing and the proximity to subway is nice. Only downside is it is literally right next to the light rail. However, anywhere you are in Shanghai will have some noise...

Nice looking place and very clean, but in middle of building site (-7am - 10pm+), scary walk back from metro (runs within 20m of hostel 6.30am-11pm). Quiet atmosphere, best for more mature travellers. A bit out of the way.
