I loved Seattle. There are a lot of good vinatge clothing stores and record stroes with a good collection of vinyl. Seattle's night life wasn't at all what I expected. I'll take Vancouver over Seattle, any night. I went to many clubs/bars and most of them were empty/near empty. Oh well, I still managed to have a good time regardless of not seeing too many people. Highlight of the weekend:...more Seattle's night life wasn't at all what I expected. It offers so much live music, alot of culture and no end of activities (free and otherwise). It's quite cheap and easy to get around with 'free ride zones' in the city and regular and a multitude of buses. It's a pretty relaxed city, and it's reasonably cheap to stay there as well, i was on a tight budget and was quite comfortable. The home of the famous fish markets and as well asn jimi hendrixs' grave sight and nirvana, it's a place to go for sure.close

There is a lot to do on the island BUT this place is horrible to get to. If anyone who has been here can imagine, I walked from teh ferry stop up. At night. The staff are pretty rude and made me ask people on the ferry each time I came home for a ride. I guess it was ok, I learned to ask for something, but had to walk and hitch the times no-one was "Heading my way". It is a travesty there is only ONE hostel (ATM) in Seattle. The only reason I came here was because the HI was full. BOOK IT EARLY. Met some great people here though and the common room is HUGE and full of stuff to do. Overall, I'd give this place a 5 out of 10. Most points lost for location.close

Small enough to walk around, full of wondeful museums (note the Art Museum is closed until 2007, but the Asian Art Museum up in Capitol Hill is great to spend some time in), a fantastic public library, great coffee shops, one of the most beautiful markets (Pike Market), Paul Allen's EMP (Experience Music Project) and oh so many many more. I visited the city in August which is warm enough and rain-free ;) Some things can be a bit pricey (a piroshky for $4.50? Btw DO NOT bother trying the 'best piroshky in Seattle' @ Piroshky Piroshky place in Pike Market...my grandma makes much better ones than the mushy stuff they sell). You can see the city in a long weekend, but be prepared to walk lots and climb some pretty steep hills (to top SF's Russian Hill).close

Looked like an old motel on the outside, but inside, the rooms were renovated and clean. I was pleasantly surprised with the location - just 5 minute walk from the Space Needle and the manager was kind and helpful. I would definitely stay here again - can't beat the location and quality for such...

Not your typical american steak house. Great old-fashioned restaurant with interesting bar, club attached. A seattle institution.

Top Rated Seattle Attractions

  1. Scene In Seattle Fine Art Tours100%

I had the most amazing time on this tour. I didn't really know a lot about the art in Seattle or art in general to be honest. This tour was highly informative, but completely comprehendible for an art novice such as myself. Be sure to wear good walking shoes and you'll have a great time.
