Reviews of Edinburgh Castle

Edinburgh Castle has a rating of 100% from a total of 4 reviews and ratings, below are some reviews of Edinburgh Castle

Edinburgh Castle isn't just Edinburgh's number one attraction but also Scotland's. You can see why - there is lots to see here. The Crown Jewels are a highlight, while if you catch one of the 30 minute free walking tours you'll learn a good bit about it also. Tickets are a bit pricy though.

Lovely castle in Edinburgh! on the top of a hill and in the middle of the city! Edinburgh Castle dominates the city of Edinburgh like no other castle in Scotland, and Edinburgh Castle is unequalled in the whole of the British Isles!

The castle dominates the cities skyline and is truly breath taking. Make sure to arrive early to try and avoid queues, and if at all possible, try to avoid Saturdays as this can be the busiest day there! Admission includes a tour which takes about 20 – 30 mins and is really enjoyable! You can easily spend about 3 or 4 hours there wandering around and taking in the great views of the city without even noticing the time going by! Make sure to stop in the coffee shop there and get a hot chocolate with cream on top – perfect to warm you up as it can be quite cold up there!! Oh and bring a warm jumper!!close

Edinburgh Castle is beautiful! It's a lovely Castle which overlooks Edinburgh City. The entrance fee is usually £9.80, but its free two days of the year (we were lucky as it was the weekend we went there, this year's days were the 21st & 22nd of April '07).

You have... more Edinburgh Castle is beautiful!
