Lovely Restaurant in Edinburgh City! Its a massive building which looks a bit fancy when you are walking in. There is a Bar in the middle which serves lovely Cocktails! The food is really good there, try one of the yummy desserts.

  • centotre was very pleasant, I went for a late lunch and it was quiet, I'm sure there would have been a better atmosphere if it had been earlier

  • We took advantage of the offer of 2 courses and a glass of wine for £13.95. The choice was wide and we all enjoyed different things, the soup and the assagi (hors doeuvres) to start, pasta with sausage, chicken and scallops for mains and it was all very good. Having washed it down with our complimentary glasses of wine we went onto to a very nice bottle of Aulente and treated ourselves to desserts, apple crumble, amareno icecream and mixed cheese. All came with good friendly service.

  • Food is great, fresh and enjoyable. Service a bit slow.

  • A birthday meal at Centotre on a Friday night was extremely pleasant, from the birthday greetings on arrival through to the present for the children as an apology for not having our first choice starter. The food was of the usual high standard though one of our diners felt that cabbage featured rather too frequently. Overall a very pleasant evening in the care of excellent staff.

  • Centotre was very quiet, but not unexpected for an early Monday night dinner. The pre-theatre "special" menu was very limited and did not offer large reductions in price, but the food and service were excellent. We will certainly go back.

Description of Centotre from toptable.com

"Centotre is a restaurant which operates under the mantra that good food is a labour of love as well as a pleasure. With this in mind, dishes are made from the freshest and most authentic ingredients, imported freshly from Milan, adding little more than Italian know how. Determined that their building is a happy place to be, Victor and Carina Contini have kitted the venue out to be a sharp, bright, smart backdrop to their simple but high quality Italian food, with Florentine style steak and imaginative pizzas served under the old building's magnificent chandelier. Try your best to keep your eye on your meal, and not on the antics of Centotre's infamous pizza chef!"
