“ The hostel is not good. It seems cheap at first, but you have to add 3 pounds per day to get into city centre. The rooms have no electrical sockets so you must use the ones in the common room and get become crowded very quickly. The cinema is the highlight because you cannot entertain yourself... more ”

“ This hostel is way hard to find and in the middle of no where. Nice for a relaxing break as they are right on the beach. I ended up having a room to myself when I stayed. Bfast included. They had a movie room, but the hostel was dead and I was bored. ”

“ The Globetrotter is located outside the city centre, but there was a free shuttle bus between the hostel and city centre. The view from the backyard is amazing, because the hostel is only a stone's throw from the sea! ”

“ The hostel is located about a 20 minute drive from the city center. The food offered in the minimally stocked shop is all junk food. If you want to go to any events in Edinburgh, or stay out past 11pm, then you have to pay for a taxi back to the hostel which will cost you more than your night... more ”

“ the hostel is great, and is all you would like to find in a hostel, but, the place is so far away from the city center. the staff wasn,t friendly, but there is a shuttle bus each hour and in 20 minutes it gets you to the center. And the hostel is too big to find a friendly atmosphere! ”

“ A tip is maybe to have some oatmeal for breakfast, not everyone likes white bread and sugary cereal. have the shuttle run later on friday/saturday since its nights you might want to go out. ”

“ If you plan on coming back late then don't bother, a taxi will cost you a fortune to get back. Maybe good for people on business. Its facilities are all fine, staff are nice. Someone was sleeping in my bed and my locker key didn't work, I'm sure that would've been fixed though if I'd told them.... more ”

“ The location was a bit far, which means you'll definitely have to plan your journey a day ahead. I would definitely have appreciated it if the shuttle runs every half hour as opposed to an hour, and I do not recommend taking the night bus (especially if you're alone), since it's a 10 minute walk... more ”

“ This place is pretty awesome, the rooms are great with their own bathrooms and curtains around each bed, the only thing that sucks is the location because you have to rely on the shuttle buses meaning unless you want to pay heaps for a taxi later on in the evening you can only stay out till 11pm.... ”
