Dated, grim and depressing; felt like we were on a run down estate. Porter staff friendly and helpful, the rooms were smelly and seemed neglected. Functional is the best we can say.

Overall it was excellent for the money. The location was not ideal but theres a regular and inexpensive bus service that goes to the city centre

Security and location were definitly very poor. Staff was polite and gave plenty of information and maps. Since I was looking for a quite place I may say that fun was absent (for me was OK: no night noise). Cleanliness was acceptable.

Although the building isn't hugely inspiring, the grounds are beautiful with a huge walled garden and parkland behind.

We didn't realise it took close to an hour to walk to Hillhead halls from Union Street! The halls themselves we're clean and we saved a bit of money by buying food from the supermarket and cooking it in the kitchen, which had everything we needed. Had the whole unit of five rooms to ourselves for the two days! Location was a bit of a disappointment, but the bus 20 goes from outside the halls to Littlejohn Street in the city centre for £1.10. All in all a positive experience.close
