Well Sao Paulo is one of the bigger city´s I have seen comming in on an air plane... and that in a way is the problem. The city is to big there is not much to see and the crime rate is to high. The city is to big there is not much to see and the crime rate is to high. I met a girl in Chile that never left her hostel in Sao Paulo because there where always gangs hanging around and she never felt save. In a country like this dont wast your time in a city like this go south to the border with Argentina or go north to Rio where you can at least do somthing other than eat meat... and believe me I can eat allot of meatclose

Staff were really helpful about where to go, what to see etc. Rooms weren´t in best condition but location and staff made up for this.

Hotel Rojas All Suite 74%
We loved this place. If I could, I'd rate the staff 120% - they were very helpful in giving directions and orienting us to the city. The hostel is a bit outside of the central Sao Paulo area, which means that the streets feel a bit more safe. The breakfast was basic but did the job.

– posted on Oct 2008 1Budget hotel, not a hostel, so little guest commaraderie or hostel type activities and social fun. Bland room decor. Staff speaks virtually no English but try hard to understand and fulfill requests. Excellent value for business area accomodations. Close to 2 metro stops.

Pousada & Hostel São Paulo 62%
Nossa! A cozinha é horrÃvel. Eu tenho visto a pousada só como um lugar para eu durmir e só isso, mas que seus hóspedes sejam chatos nao é sua culpa. The kitchen is awfull and the people is not friendly, but that`s not your fault.
