Santorini offers loads. Going to Oia is a must or else you haven't really seen Santorini. Perissa beach is great for chilling out and relaxing on it's black and very hot sand. |

The place is really quiet in the off seqson . so if you want to read a book and chill November is the time to go. The party tourists have left. |

Rent a car, much cheaper then getting taxis and lets you do your own thing. Eat grilled feta and stuffed vine leaves. Have a wei§beir at the Question Bar at the black rock beach: Perissa.
Go to the ancient city of Thira: awesome sight. And the lighthouse for sunsets. |

magic island |

Not really what I was expecting. Thought certain areas (Perissa) may be more developed. Great if you want a rough and ready holiday but a decent shower is not too much too ask. |

We didn't have tents, so we used huts. Unfortunately, they were disappointment - there were no bedsheets (only a materace cover), no blankets (this didn't matter, because it was summer), no pillows.
Bathrooms were not very cleen either. The rest was OK. |

we will come back |

the black sanded beach was realy nice, got a little upset since we couldn't get to Oia due to very limited buses that never came. The hostel was realy nice and everyone was very helpful. thanks |

A great place for a get-away! Days of lounging on the beach and by the pool. Great priced cocktails with many of the bars having a good selection for just 3 euros! |

This place is awesome. Probably more suited to couples but well worth a look. The scenery and sunsets are brilliant. The quad bikes are the best way to get around and lots of fun too. |

Great place - if you get in just before tourist season it is nice and cheap and warm!! |

Even going just out of high season was good. Although it does depend what you are after- we were happy to feel like we were the only ones around. |

Santorini camping ground is fantastic. A great value (especially in Santorini), really nice staff, and perfect location. You can't go wrong here. |

Breakfast here is no good. The ladies that serve it stand and watch you eat and basically cant speak any english whatsoever, |

It was great! |

Beautiful, laid back, and cheaper than some other areas of the island. Santorini may well be heaven. |

It's good place i would go again |

really beautiful and unique city in the world. Though there is too many people during the summer, it is still interesting sharing the sunset with people from different nations. It is cool at the beginning of September, distinct temperature at day and night, so remember to take a coat with you. It is less people in the morning and middle noon if you want a quiet environment. |

Go now. A stunning island. watch out for the posse of friendly dogs though. |

Santorini is an extremely beautiful island, with beautiful beaches, volcanic areas, archaeology, architecture, and wonderful people. It´s quite possibly one of the best places to be in Greece and I will definitely come back ! |

Satorini is an absolute paradise. Would return in a flash and stay longer next time! |

Whether you want to party or relax this place will accommodate you! You can even choose your relaxation style: beach, markets, pool etc. The weather was fantastic in early October and there was not that many other tourists - great time of year to go! |

It's always been my favorite of the greek islands but better seen and spent with a beloved....tres romantique! Stay in Oia as opposed to Fira if you want quiet and vice versa if you want some night life. |

Beautiful island! Gorgeous sunset in Oia! |

Santorini is a very pretty island. Really good place to sit by the pool and chill, also some sights to take in. If you're looking for adventure sports etc then this may not be for you but we loved it here. |

Bad in winter but it would be better in summer |

I was unfortunate to book a tour with Ankor Tour System to save time. At the end of the tour, because of misinformation given to me by the tour company, I missed the bus that supposed to bring me back to Perissa. When I contact Ankor Tour System, the travel agent was not helpful. In fact, I was told to fan for myself. It is frustrating and frightening to try to find transportation back to my hotel in the dark. I do not recommend booking any tours with Ankor Tour System! and let the buyer beware. |

Santorini has been one of, if not my favorite, vacation spot I have seen. The option to rent a moped or ATV was a great way to see the island and really feel like I was "livin it up"! |

Santorini is a must-go! Great to rent a car to explore the island which is very possible to do within a day if you drive. The beaches are fantastic and nice to have a picnic at. And best to catch sunset at Oia |

Santorini was the best experience in our Greece Trip. Beautiful landscaps with the bright blue and white houses. Not to forget the famous Blue Top dome church. Beaches are ok, but the places gives a real exotic feel. Thumbs up for Santorini. |

DONT GO IN THE LOW SEASON - Literally nothing is open! |

It was amazing! Everyone should get an ATV. they are only 20 euro for 24 hours and they are a great way to see the island...also take a donkey ride up the volcano! its awesome! Also you gotta go to the Beach Bar! Its the oldest and the best! Cheap food, drinks, and amazing staff...Say hi to Constantine, Mario, and Audrey! they are great |

It was the low season so a lot of clubs, restaurants, and tourist attractions are closed, but we made the most of our stay and really enjoyed what we were able to do. Everything is moderately priced, and the only bad part is having to ride the ferry since it takes so long. |

What a fabulous island. There is so much to see and it is really easy to get around. The locals are so friendly and they make the best food! |

Better than Mykonos |

The island is so chill and relaxing. And the landscape is breathtaking. I've never been anywhere like it. (Fabulous sun tanning on Perissa Beach.) |

I just loved this island! Definitely one of the most beautiful islands in the Cyclades. Best time to go there in my opinion is in May just before the high season starts to kick in; The mass of tourists would spoil the setting! You also get the beach to yourself and its so much pleasant to stroll along the streets of Fira and Oia ( main towns on the island). The hotel I stayed in was in Perissa( South of the island), perfect location for the beach and the nightlife ( loads of bars and nightclubs serving cheap cocktails-only 3euro!). Fira is overlooking the Caldera and is famous for it's magnifcent views- especially the sunset. Oia is located on the northern tip of the island and is also famous for its spectacular sunsets ( I preferred Oia to Fira as less touristic and with more character). |

Excellent island, especially during Spring or Autumn. No words can explain what you see! |

If you know about greece you know you must go if you have not already. The views over the volcano are breathtaking watching the famous sunset while sipping the local wine from a volcano top taverna. The food all over the island was fantastic ,try the tomato patties at captain loizios at monolithos. Beaches not as stunning as other islands but the phenomena of the black volcanic sand makes you understand the natural disaster suffered hundreds of years ago have made this island unique. the way the villages on the caldera are built take your breath away. |

I went off season, so place was pretty deserted |

Not a place to visit in winter unless you are there just to see the architecture without the crowds. Many places were closed, which is quite unfortunate because there were a number of tourists still on the island. The sunset from Oia was amazing and we had an amazing view from some restaurants balcony who happened to be closed for the winter. You have to rent a car to get around, otherwise, its pretty much impossible. I would not recommend this place during winter. |

Santorini is pretty much all it\'s cracked up to be. It\'s absolutely gorgeous, and has a great mix of things to do... phsyical activities (hiking the caldera, exploring the island, etc.), relaxing activities (sitting in the beach), and of course your standard tourist shopping, etc.
The only downside is that is truly is a tourist destination. We visited in February, and learned that very few people actually LIVE on the island. Even the shop owners live elwhere and just come to the island for the high season, so the island is one big ghost town during the winter. Which is unfortunate, considering the weather was lovely, even in early February, so it\'s a shame that we couldn\'t enjoy many of the shops & activitiies due to them all being closed.
Nevertheless, it\'s such a beautiful place that you can easily relax & do nothing for a few days and still have a great time. |

Thank you Freddie and Nicoletta for a great time at Hotel Perissa! The hotel was in a great location and Freddie was there to pick us up from the ship, even without asking, and dropped us back when we were leaving. Close to nightlife and beach of Perissa and bus to Fira. Great place to stay, highly recommended. |

The land is mostly covered with vinards, and isn't that amazing to look at. what really makes this island amazing is the black sand, and other beaches, and the amazing, AMAZING, view from the cliff side of the island. |

Beautiful! I absolutely loved Santorini. It really is a magical island. The climate, the island itself, the people, it just combines to give almost the perfect holiday destination.
Santorini is not a big island, and you can easily explore it in a car or on an ATV which are cheap and easily available. Fira the main town is built on a cliff (caldera) and the views are amazing. Sit out in one of the many bars and sip a cocktail while looking at the sunset.
Kamari on the opposite side of the island has a lovely black beach and more of a 'resort' feel to it. There is plenty to do in Santorini, boat trips to the Volcano and Hot Springs (reommended) and great jewellary and leather shops.
At nighttime its pleasantly buzzing, no-one trying to drag you into bars with cheap shots and no-one roaring drunk, but there are good bars and plenty of people about.
Santorini is the type of place you would return to more than once! |

Santorini is lovely. the hotel la meduse we stayed in was beautifull, clean and friendly. Superb! The car rental company ruined our last day on the island though. Ankor car rentals the name. they tried to pin us with a large scratch on the car. The contract clearly stated that the scratch was there before but they were extremely rude and insisted on blaming us. Extremely rude and inappropriate. |
