Vanilia is an absolutely beautiful restaurant in Firostefani. It's a bit outside Fira so is kind of hard to find unless you know where you're going. It is however, well worth a trip. It's a bit outside Fira so is kind of hard to find unless you know where you're going. It is however, well worth a trip. The inside of the restaurant is lovely and the terrace upstairs is absolutely beautiful and offers stunning views of the volcano. The menu is varied and I would recommend the spaghetti with lobster which I think was a special the night we were there. The starter of mussels in local wine was lovely and the pork with thyme and honey was also a favourite . The cheesecake and baklava were also very tasty. Everything in fact was so good that we went back on our last night! The staff are very friendly, one of the waiters actually came up to us in Tropical Bar later that night because he remembered us!! It's very popular so it's probably worth ringing ahead to get a table on the terrace. Highly recommended!!close
