Like most of Santorini it is very romantic! Papagalos is beside Ambrosia & Nectar which also seemed to be very popular but we decided to try Papagalos although it was actually much quieter than the other place when we went in. There is a view from the retaurant but maybe isn't as good as other places in Oia or in Fira. The place started to fill up though and there is a nice atmosphere. We ordered a couple of starters to share and the best of them was definitely the grilled squid. For mains we had the saganaki risotto, the pork belly, cod tempura and the crab ravioi. Everything was delicious except for the crab ravioli which I had chosen and which I normally love. It was definitely a bit too al dente for my taste and I didn't like it at all. I was a bit disappointed and when the waitress asked if everything was ok I mentioned that I didn't really like it. She immediately offered to bring me something else and after a couple of minutes she brought me out the saganaki risotto. She was extremely pleasant about it and said it was no problem at all. I think she was American or maybe Greek-American and she was very professional and friendly all evening. Overall, the food was lovely in Papagalos and its easy to see why it has been voted one of the top 50 restaurants in Greece. I definitely would go back... I just wouldn't have the crab ravioli this time.close
