We are located in the Monumental area of Santiago, 100 meters from the Cathedral, in the place known as Almond of the Historical Helmet. This is the name by which the enclosure closed by the old walls used to be known. It was accessed by the Seven Doors, among them the Pain Porthole, in which you will find us. From this calm pedestrian street, in a very centric area, you will be able to discover all the enchantments and corners of the town. Hostal Girasol has rooms in which you will be able to enjoy a calm and agreeable stay in a familiar environment. You can choose from rooms with private bathroom to more economic ones with wash basin (sharing the bathroom with one other room). All our rooms have telephone, television and central-heating. In our coffee bar you will be able to enjoy a nice breakfast (4.00 euro per person) to begin your tourist day: natural juice, fresh toasts, croissant or something more filling like eggs and bacon, sandwich, etc (we are happy to provide other food requirements within our possibilites).

The hostel was excellent value for money. We were pleased with a room, it had recently been decorated, which, gave the impression of a boutique style. We had a problem with our shower, however, as soon as we reported it, it was fixed. Would definitely recommend to others and go back ourselves.

the hostal was a conversion of a building in the old town which didn't build around the existing character but we knew that. the staff were helpful and friendly and this showed with the willingness of locals to pop in for breakfast etc.i'd happily recommend overall

Our spanish wasn't great but some of the staff's english is non-existant resulting in a couple of issues. Walls are very thin and sound carries around hostel. Rooms clean and comfortable though. Great shower.

Clean and basic room. Just a bit noisy (could have been just ours as it overlooked a courtyard which was off the downstairs cafe). No plug in bath which couldn't be rectified!!

It was great, the staff was really nice (and they spoke English) and the restaurant downstairs was very reasonably priced. I would definitely stay there again!

This place was excellent value for money. It was a stones throw from the cathedral, in the middle of the old town, clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend it to others.

If this is your price range and your not looking for other reverlers, than look no further. Perfect accomadation in a perfect location. Best 2 star i have ever seen!

Not really a hostel. Our bedroom was huge (it included a futon couch!). Very clean. Great location. Didn't see another person. Definitely recommend staying here.
