“ A quiet, friendly, family-run hostel. I would recommend it - the only bad thing was there was not very good heating in the room, though the weather was unusually cold. ”

“ The staff were amazingly friendly and accommodating, and everything was quite clean. We had to pass through three locked doors to get to our room so we felt very safe . Overall it was like staying at a friend's grandparents' house: clean, comfortable, and kind. Would definitely stay there again. ”

“ This isn´t a typical hostel at all - instead of what I expected, we got a room rented out to us by a sweet elderly couple who just ended up with a gigantic apartment in Santander. The location was alright, it was three blocks away from the main bus station, but it wasn´t great for beach... more ”

“ The Pension madrid is in a building very near the bus and train station, and near the port. It is a flat converted into a pension, in fact you will feel as guest of your aunt! It is a house, not very modern furniture, but the position is strategic and the service is good, above all because it is... more ”

“ The hostel was very clean and had everything we needed. The staff were not super friendly and kept trying to come into our room (without knocking) to clean even when we were there, other than that we had a good stay there. ”

“ Really nice place and the staff are lovely and very helpful. It´s pretty central, very close to the bus and train stations and no more than 10 minutes walk to the zona rosa where the majority of the nice bars and restaurants are. “ Old school style hotel/hostal with very nice couple running it. They have an overflow place just around the corner for when they are full, which is where we were put. Not sure about Santander but this is a good place to stay on a budget, especially good for proximity to the port and train/bus... ”
