You absolutely have to speak spanish, or you will not get far with the local girls :) Climate is wonderful, not as extremely hot but sometimes more moderate, influenced by the atlantic. An occasional slight and short rain was exactly what I wanted, since I hate it when it's just too hot to do...more You absolutely have to speak spanish, or you will not get far with the local girls :) Climate is wonderful, not as extremely hot but sometimes more moderate, influenced by the atlantic. Posada El Remanso de Triviecu 92%
Charming Rural inn, 15 minutes by car from Santander city and near of the natural park of Cabarceno ( 10 minutes) and the bath Spa of Lierganes and Solares. The name comes from an ancient laundry room built in the area known as Triviecu, where the local women met daily to wash clothes and chat. In the refurbishment work we have preserved the essence of the typical mountain structure made completely in stone...

5We found the staff very accommodating to our request to check in early as we had a wedding to go to. They went out of their way to help us.

1you should skip the s in the word hostel, because it was really more like a hotel, with an entire room for ourselves and a private bathroom. although the locaiton is not the best, the staff was absolutely great!

Hostal la Torre 81%
This hostel is located away from downtown Santander near the university and the football stadium. We stayed in a 3 person room and had all the comforts we could ask for, but you´re not going to find many other people to hang out with and the staff doesn´t speak English.

4Good hostel, 15 walk to the beach, 15 minutes walk to the city centre. Room of your own, like a hotel.

1nice hostel, brand new. literally -- some of the rooms weren't finished yet. but the beds, bathrooms, etc were very nice. rooms came with a free locker with lock. and the electronic key system was incredibly easy to use. very nice location, too.
