Friendly and reasonably priced. Away from the sketchier parts of SF, but still close to the heart of the city. A little weathered, but clean, secure and comfortable. I extended my stay.

We traveled from Australia and only booked the Mayflower for one night orginally but when we got there we ended up staying for four nights. It was fantastic for it's price and in a great location. Staff were great as well.

Breakfast is all self service; eat as much as you want :) There wasn't a safe in the room, but I kept my passport and other stuff locked away in my case, which seemed secure enough. I'm would definitely recommend the Mayflower.close

I had a great room --roomie, quiet and comfy. The staff was extremely helpful and attentive, even loaning me a charger for my cell phone. Breakfasts comprise tasty breads, good coffee, and juices plus more. I stayed a week both for work and vacation. Easy computer & Internet access made checking locations and events and email online simple. Many thanks to all for making the visit such a pleasure.close

The hotel was quaint and located really near chinatown. Super clean. There is only paid parking at the hotel ($20 a night) so plan ahead if you're driving. the breakfast isn't great, but everything else was awesome! also there is a shop next door and a microwave in the room which was quite handy...

Kitchette area in room was very welcome. The room generally was good size with walk in closet and full length mirror. One thing i disliked was the bed. It was a small queen and barely fit two people. The blinds on windows were inadequate to block out sunlight. Luckily the room was down a lane...

Fantastic hotel!Great character, clean and spacious rooms and a nice breakfast included in the price. It has a great location basically within walking distance of a lot of attractions. I would highly recommend this hotel for travellers on a budget but past the stage of hostels!

Really a nice hotel, I was even contacted before my arrival about which room I would like to have! In the room there was a kitchen corner so you could have heated up something in the microwave oven. it was really clean and super helpful but not imposing staff. I would recommend this definately.

the hotel was pretty nice... the location good. The breakfast buffet was ok. In the room there was a lot of long black hair everywhere that didn't belong to us...they could have cleaned a little bit better.

We enjoyed our stay at the Mayflower. It's in a good location (3 blocks from Powell St cable car), clean and quite spacious when compared to other hotels. The staff were also friendly and courteous. Also, there's convenience stores, bars and laundromats in close proximity.
