   Spent a couple of days strolling this glorious city. It is a wonderful, cultural experience. From exploring Mozart's birth house, Sound of Music landmarks and taking in a wonderful Marionette performances, this city is absolutely amazing.

   High up on Mönchsberg, the walls of Hohensalzburg Fortress are a great place to get some spectacular views of the city. The cable railway down on Festungsgasse is a pretty cool way to get up there. This railway is Austria's oldest funicular, and will take you straight up. The cable railway down on Festungsgasse is a pretty cool way to get up there. This railway is Austria's oldest funicular, and will take you straight up. If you don't fancy that though, you can still brave all the steps. Inside the fortress there are a couple of different museums, including the Marionette Museum. Even though the dolls here are a little creepy, it's still an interesting exhibit.close

   Once you get inside the Cathedral, look up and check out the ornate ceiling and dome. The pews are fancy too, and the huge doors leading into the cathedral are decorated with a pretty leaf detail.
