The hotel is in Germany and you have to take a train to get to Salzburg. The rooms are extremely nice and the free breakfast is great. The owners were nice enough to drive me to the train station themselves, which I really appreciated (not having to call a cab was great).

***WARNING*** These people were totally uncontactable. Had to cancel by email in the end and they STILL did not respond. They billed my credit card and just took my money. DO NOT book with them.

Hotel Johanneshof is one of the best hotels I've stayed in here in Europe. It is only 15km from Salzburg and 14km from Berchtesgaden. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I recommend this hotel to anyone and look forward to going back very soon!

With the location you just need to know about the trains. It is really easy to get into Salzburg by train and plenty of other places.

Location wise, a little tricky to get to. It takes about 40 minutes by bus from Salzberg. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast fantastic. Other then a fantastic authentic cafe and lots of different walks, there isn't much to do and not alot was suggested.
