When I first arrived in Salvador, I was a bit put off. I had never been to such a poor city before. But it doesnt take long to see the beauty in the people and culture there. Salvador is amazing, full of life and people here are very nice and friendly. I could walk safely, enjoying the breeze and the sun. The beaches are beautiful and the water is warm. Como la hubicación es perfecta, para hacer compras, comer y conocer las playas fue muy agradable - caminando haces todo. Lo único que no me cayo bien fue Pelourino, donde me llevaron la camera y me pedian dinero todo el tiempo. No se puede comer allí.     I felt very safe and welcome at the Guest House. Salvador is and amazing but intense city. It was nice to have a safe, quiet place to come to.

    Great location close to the beach and safe to walk about after dark with several good restaurants nearby. Breakfast was superb in a pleasant setting and the staff were very helpful.

    One of the best places we stayed in Brazil. The location is excellent, in the heart of Pelourinho, and Marlene and Tex were always extremely helpful and kind with us.

    Verena at the reception made the stay much nicer than it would have been without her. The four of us stayed in 8-bed room (due to a somewhat unclear reason, we had booked a 4-bed room) which was fine; staying in this room with 8 people would be quite different, since there is not much prepared...

    This is a great hostel. I have stayed in several hostel's in Salvador before, but this is by far the nicest one. Great location, good facilities, excellent breakfast and very good staff! I highly recommend it.
