Poncho Huasi 100%
Nick and Alicia were the perfect hosts at the fabulous B&B, Poncho Huasi. The serene and tranquil town of Cerillos is the perfect place to catch your breath for a few days, yet close enough to the bustling center of Salta that you can easily get your 'fix' of city life if you so wish. Nick and...

1Planning a trip with the family always means trouble. We are a married couple, with 3 sons (two of them, teenagers) from Buenos Aires (Argentina). Poncho Huasi was the answer to our thoughts and needs since the moment we got to its website. A cozy, elegant and quiet "old fashioned Casona"...

Hostal Maya 92%
If you want an inexpensive, quiet hostel located close to the bars and restaurants of Salta (on Calle Balcarce), this is a good pick. Olivier, the owner, is very solicitous and helpful.

Calchaquies valleys100%
I'd never heard of the Calchaquies Valleys in Argentina until I got there. Having followed the standard Argentina tourist trail through Buenos Aires and down to Patagonia it was time for something different and the Calchaquies Valleys certainly met the criteria. The asphalt road suddenly turns in to a dirt track north of Cafayate and you leave civilisation...
