After a long train ride, we were very happy to arrive at Hotel Nikita, suprised by the cleanliness and the warth welcome of the staff. Surprised also by the fact that we had to share a six-bed bedroom when we had reserved a four-bedroom dorm for the three of us... Apart from that, thumbs up !

would be nice to have fresh-made coffee in the morning instead of instant one. All the rest is absolutely fine.

You have to go into a little courtyard. The street that the hotel is on is directly across from the Ligovsky Prospekt metro stop. Use the pedestrian tunnel. The walk to Nevsky Prospekt is a few longish blocks.close

One thing to remember - their booking system is not realtime, so once you do the booking with this site - call or email them for confirmation. Not sure of the staff's English-speaking skills (I speak Russian), however both receptionists, Yuri and Olga, are nice and friendly. So are the security guards, who are there at night time. The location is 10 min walk from Moscovskaya train station, and literally 50m away from the metro (subway) entrance "Ligovsky Prospect". I would not walk to the main St. Petersburg attractions from there, but rather take two stops journey on the metro. A tip to find the place - the hotel does not face a street - once you find house 42 on Raz'ezzhaya St., go through the gate (if it is closed look for the buzzer with name 'Hotel Nikita' on it), then you'll see it on the right hand side.close
