Rotterdam is a nice city which can be seen in a couple of days.. good shopping possibilities and a nice atmosphere. |

Rotterdam is probably the best place to see in the Netherlands if you're looking for a diverse, not too crowded city with lots of interesting places to see, like the port, some amazing buildings, the classy centre, beautiful parks and very nice spots to hang out at night. So if you haven't been there yet, plan your trip now! You won't regret it! |

It´s a nice harbour city, a lot to see, but the problem is, how to know what and where too see things? I didn´t get a good overall the city. |

I loved Rotterdam with all the crazy buildings, if you like archtitecture and contemporary art you cannot miss this town. City by night is awsome as well. Many people says Rotterdam is no worth to see, but it became one of my favourite town!It is crazy and so lovable. |

I booked this hostel at the beginning of november for december. i arrived in rotterdam in the morning and discovered the hostel was closed, due to some works on the boat. the nice thing is that no one advised me (they told me they did, but i never really received any mail from them)....very bad organisation. |

It's nice, but the people don't get involved one each other , doesn't like a hostel, it's like a hotel . |

Hostel ROOM is great! definitely the best deal in Rotterdam. Good location, good people, what more can I say.... |

Very different to the rest of the Netherlands. A good place to rest if you are tired of so many canals. Interesting architecture. |

When we discovered we couldn't stay in Amsterdam we thought we'd try another city in Holland, however Rotterdam was very dissapointing, because it was unfortunately razed in WW2 it doesn't really have any historical charm and the new architecture is uninspiring and bland. |

lovely city alot quiter than amsterdam but with all the good parts |
rotterdam was quite boring, we went to the hague for the 2nd day instead as there was more to see and do. |
Rotterdam is not exactly your usual sightseeing city. Because of WWII bombing a lot of buildings were destroyed, and the city rebuilt itself so you see all new architecture and infrastructure. |
Not much to see and the things that you did see barely impressed. It is a uni city however, with loads of neat bars to chill out in. We had some really good food as well. Just know what you are going there for... |

The weather was (usually) beautiful and we were only there for a huge, free concert...The concert was so awesome though, so the city must be cool to put on such an extravagent techno party. I've heard the other summer festivities are great too, so I'd highly recommend Rotterdam in the summer. Saturday's market by the Blaak station was huge and awesome for all kinds of things. |

A great place to chill out at after being in amsterdam, the ppl are verfy friendly. U can still do everything u can in amsterdam, its just a bit more relaxed and not all the crazy tourists |

Amsterdams little retarded sister, dont waste your money spend extra and enjoy Amsterdam, much more to do and see! |

I {Lion} Rotterdam? WTF?
Tourist Information = not for tourists? WTF?
Modern art? In building form? WTF? |

Rotterdam is great. It is cheaper, quirkier, more interesting, bigger and more lively than Amsterdam. Great shops, fantastic scenery and sculptures everywhere, and cool bars and clubs. Unlike the capital there is a feeling that Rotterdam does not function thanks to tourism alone. This is reflected in the nightlife and the culture in general. |

Perfect location when the station and de rest will be completely build...But we did'tn hear the noises from de machines...Good isolation...We came with a car and de parkingplaces are just for "the VIP"... 24 minutes 50 cents and 30 € for a night (more than de price for sleep and have a breakfeat at your hotel !!!!!!!! ) not at all touristvriendly....And in all the country is the same...It's a SHAME , if not a pity , the tourist feels like "a melkkoe" ! |

I really liked Rotterdam, which is very modern without being ugly. It's quite small, so easy to walk around in. There's lots of interesting sights and great shopping. |

Rotterdam boasts some pretty cool buildings. Architecture wise. |
cool layed back city. very friendly ppl. |

Most would miss out Rotterdam in favour of Amsterdam. This is a mistake as Rotterdam has a lot to recommend it. For one thing it is free from tourists hordes but still has enough to keep you occupied. |

It's a great place to base yourself for a few days and do day trips out of. |

this is an incredible city. Stay out late, get lost and find your way home hours later to a greeat hostel, room rotterdam. |

Very modern city. Felt like i could have seen that back home in the States. Are big on their architecture though which gives it a lil bit of unique quality. |

one of those cities, i'll never go to again. it's not beautiful and the atmosphere is strange. the people there look nearly all like criminals and i was afraid of them even in the morning!! just het parc is a nice place, but it's a parc... |

Good for a day trip, not that much to see. The city is really weird with old and new buildings and random statues/art work arouns the city...what was up with that "walk of fame"??? |
Too many tall buildings too close together... Maybe we weren't in the heart of Rotterdam, but there didn't seem to be much there for fun. There was a cool Walk of Fame, though, but otherwise, it wasn't thrilling. |

I love Dutch people, -everyone I met was friendly, helpfull, smiley, and generally pleasant.
If only the climate was generally warmer!!
Rotterdam is a lovely place to go if you want a nice quiet city time away. |

Rotterdam is a really hip city, being extremely modern and beautiful with lights and art and space-age-esque buildings. The bridges and the bay are gorgeous and a must see. Plenty of bars! The weather though was pretty consistently dreary and cold, but it is January.. |
city of art, architecture, harbors, and coffeeshops. |
go there if you wanna have a diffrent experience.. you will get to stay in the boat , and the location is also.. we stayed in a room for 4 and it was a bit small compared to any other hostel, but i am sure all boats would be like this. the people are really friendly and they helped us having the key till the next day , though we checked out the previous day , as we had no other place to keep our luggage.. so if not stayed in a boat , try it once.. it is worth trying. |

we were there for the musuems night, a great spectacle. very many interesting museums in rotterdam.
the cities not beatiful - but different from all others in holland with regard to culture and people. |
i mean the city is not that bad, just not that impressive, coming with high expectations will lead to a disappointment. it's nice to walk around the place, sightseeing shouldn't take up more than 2 days, but when it comes to going out or eating out, wow, that's really terrible... |
as the title said...... |
If you\'re looking for a friendly, insane, completely un-pretentious party atmosphere then you\'ll find it here. Some of the nicest people we met and one of the best nights out. |
