  • I would recommend it with a few reservations. The food is very good and tasty-well presented with an interesting menu. The reservations are the family. The father is reserved and gives each table a long history of the premises etc etc then he goes on to explain every dish in detail .The menu is in english,.The son,the sommelier is brash- tasted our wine himself declared it good and poured,He shouts' Mama' every time he goes to the kitchen. She cooks-she never appeared-is she there? All a bit OTT

  • I was really looking forward to going to Spirito di Vino after reading the reviews, however was disappointed. Yes family run, the food couldn't be complained about, but after being provided with two wine lists the sommelier disappeared and did not help or recommend anything to go with our meal. Nothing really wrong with the overall experience, however for the money we spent we should have had a special meal. The next night we spent half the money and enjoyed ourselves much more.

  • Spirito di Vino was not exactly what we were expecting. The lighting was very bright, the clientele was mainly British (or Irish) but that said the food was perfectly cooked. I had the cod Carpaccio as a starter, and then 1st course was a sea bass linguini pasta dish followed by slow roasted shoulder of pork server with an apple puree. Simple and tasty using excellent ingredients.
