1Hotel confused by HW booking. Implausibly said were lucky to get room because was last available; trying to make us grateful? Could have handled without making us wonder whether we'd get a room.Checkout: woman didn't present a printed list of expenses. Claimed the additional charges were adjustments for prior clerks undercharging; had nothing but her say so to go on, after the whole thing had been chargedclose

3The hotel, while billed as four star, was only in fact three star while its twin hotel, joined via lobbies was in fact four star. Lack of a kettle and coffee/tea in the room, and a generally 'dark' atmosphere in the room made it a little disappointing on arrival. Lack of a kettle and coffee/tea in the room, and a generally 'dark' atmosphere in the room made it a little disappointing on arrival. Proximity to Villa Borghese was superb, though slightly out of the way to get to other areas of Rome.close
