Rising 396 metres (1,299 ft) above sea-level, its name is said to refer to its resemblance to the traditional shape of concentrated refined loaf sugar. You will need to take 2 trams to get to the top. A glass-paneled cable car, capable of holding 75 passengers, runs along a 1400-meter route between the peaks of Babilônia and Urca every half hour. At the top of Urca lies Sugarloaf's greatest treasure - a rain forest that takes your breath away! On Babilônia, you can buy 30-60 minute Helicopter flights over all of Rio De Janiero. Well worth the trip!close

A must if you are in Rio - its a tough climb to the top but worth it for the amazing views. You can see the whole of Copacabana. If you are not up to climbing to the top, then you can get the cable car. The tour I did incl a trip to Maracana Stadium. It cost about 35 dollars.
