its just a cheap hotel in centro, if you want the beach then its a 15 minute walk to the metro and a 20 minute metro ride....but it is close to the city

Aun cuando esta un poco lejos de las playas mas famosas, si esta cerca de la diversión nocturna de Lapa, me gusto mucho y lo recomiendo.

Sort of out of the way, but if you're looking to save money you can get a cheap room here and take the buses or walk 15 minutes to the metro.

We had a really enjoyable stay despite being told we had paid only for a bunk room not the twin the link advertised, luckily the hotel was full and they had allocated us a twin in error and couldn´t put us back in a bunk because there wasn´t one. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. breakfast was lovely, but as a vegetarian the choices over a week got a little repetative. Please thank all the staff from the cleaner who tied our single beds together, the guy who lugged our bags up the stairs, the lady who always smiled and greated us at breakfast to the reception staff.close

It is a dirty and old hotel, far away from everything. The staff don´t speak english and they´re not friendly enough. It was not a good experience staying there.

The area the hotel is located in is not very secure. One doesn't feel very safe walking there, especially after dark. We got mugged by three teens with knives only a few blocks away from the hotel.

Monka was the nicest receptionist that i have encountered at a hotel for a long time! She works very hard and diserves a pay rise due to all her hard work in handling many different and sometimes difficult customers! She is excellent!

DANGEROUS SAUNA! A serious burn was sustained within said sauna and staff did absolutely nada to help. They could not even supply us with any ice, as they claimed not to have a freezer anywhere.

Great place, much better than exspected. Pool on top is brill just what you need after a day in Lapa! Near main bus route and Arcos da Lapa, many bars and places to samba the nite away!

I loved Hotel Rios Nice. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The price was really cheap for the amount of service provided by the hotel. The location was a little out of the way, but it was easy to take a taxi or a bus, or even walk if you have the time.

i booked 2 nights there but then cancelled last minute because i was told by everyone i met that it is a really dangerous part of town. so instead i stayed at the mellow yellow hostel in copacobana.

i arrived at the hostel and they said they didnt have my booking...then they said it wasnt a hostel....it is the worst hotel ive ever stayed in!!!!!
