This is a small enough hostel to get to know everyone fairly well and go out at night together, which was wonderful. Wifi at the main level, breakfast is also pretty decent.close

staff was super helpful and really cool. it's very easy to meet other travelers. nice bar/lounge area downstairs. rooms can get cramped, but it wasn't a big deal. they got air conditioning in the room and a delightful breakfast every morning

Stayed 2 nights in a double with ensuite which was tiny (it definitely made us stay out and do stuff as we didn't want to be in there really), then spent 1 night in a dorm. the staff were really helpful and friendly, and made us feel very welcome, even taking us out locally. Lemon spirirt has a relaxed vibe, it is modern feeling but in a characterful building and is located in a cool part of rio. If we get the chance we will definitely go back.

The hostel rooms are a bit cramped (triple decker bunks seem to be standard in Rio) and the lockers really could do with replacing, but the staff here are amazingly helpful and make your stay at Lemon Spirit a great one!close

The hostel is located at a good location, but the room I lived in is a bit smelly. Most of the staffs there are quite nice, except for the one who take the morning shift. That guy seem quite dull, and dun bother or too lazy to help when I ask for something.....

Great location! But top marks go to all the staff who were amazing and even leant me a shirt and tie for an interview!!! Thanks guys! And Luiza makes the best Caipirinhas ever!!!

Very clean, great location, 1 block from the fabulous beach and 1 block the other direction from main street with bars/restraunts/shops etc. We found the area very safe also. Only drawback was that the hostels was pretty quiet at night, definitely not a party hostel if thats what your looking...

Very clean and nice hostel. The common areas and the breakfast was really excellent. Location is really good. The only thing thats not good is that the lockers look really easy to break into. There is a camera filming that area though. Would go here again.

Absolute quality! GO HERE! Staff are great, super friendly, its clean, right near the beach, has everything you need, loved it, had an amazing time here...just be careful with your bar tab!

This hostel is amazing!! I highly recommend it. The staff are incredible and it's one block from the beach in Leblon really close to Ipanema. Great resturants near by. Very relxed vibe.

Hostel was great. There werent many people staying there at the time we were there but had great facilities to be very social. Very clean and very helpful and friendly staff. Ideal location one block from the beautiful beach. Highly recommended!

The air conditioner was broken and we were staying in a 9 person female dorm. It was unbearable so we moved out after one night. But the atmosphere of the hostel was really chill and fun, and the staff were great.

I stay 6 days and the towels and blankets were changed only once. The air condition made lot of noise and I coud not sleep well.

The street outside was a bit noisy. They have air con, but need to work on it, too cold the first night not even on the second night. The staff is top notch though especially the people at the front desk!!!

Bed was the hardest and worst Ive ever slept in and still have neck problems 6 days after! Toilet never flushed and was never rectified after we told staff about it.

This hostel is in an excellent location right beside Leblon beach. There are some lovely cafes and restaurants in the area and it is very safe. It is beside Ipanema which is also a lovely area. Our shower didnt work that well but the communal showers were perfect - powerful and loads of hot water. The breakfast is also class - really sets you up for the day ahead exploring Rio. If I was back in Rio I would definitly stay there.close

Absolutely awful, had to move after one night as the 'double' room was too small for even one, was freezing (so you would pay for blanket), and wasn't even clean. Staff were sullen and rude. Happily escaped to better things the following morning!!!

a real bargain for the price, great location, wonderful staff, only 9 beds per room is a bit much for my taste. free welcome Caipirinha is a great idea!

The staff and atmosphere are great at Lemon Spirit, and made our stay really enjoyable. Each Wednesday a samba band play and the hostel interacts with each other, also the staff are happy to take you out to clubs in Rio if they are going. A really good stay.
