We love Harmonia!! It was the best welcome at the start of our travels in a strange city to arrive somewhere so friendly and homely. We missed it so much we stayed here again when we came back to rio.close

very clean, friendly hostel, good location with many other hostels close by making it very social. Only down side is you have to pay for the internet

Wow, what a fantastic group of people work here. They are so easygoing and yet really professional when it is needed. Breakfast is lovely with lots of fresh fruit and fresh rolls. We had a fantastic time here, met some great people and felt at home the whole time. We even extended our time...

Great chilled out vibe, although majority of the guests are up for experiencing the nightlife Rio offers, as are the staff. Very helpful and informative staff. Located close to the beach.

I had a great stay here. I have been in many hostels before and this place is one of the more respectable places for a young traveler to stay. Very great location in Rio and also great staff( Hope all is well Donna)!!

Sweet location - but the rooms are really small and without windows (except one room), so be prepared for that

The staff are really friendly. If you need any information they either know the answer already or glad to find out for you. Definitely reccommend to anyone!!!

Hostel Harmania has the best location and very nice staff. The good atmosphere there made me feel at home :)

A great place to stay. We stayed in the top floor which is like an aprtment which was great. The staff were really helpfull especially Hawkin (the swedish owner) who was a fountain of knowledge. He has his own website for tourist info on rio too.I had a look into some of the dorms and they looked... more A great place to stay. I am sorry for the owner, but there is like 8 persons helping/living/drinking/.../... and they do not coordinate the reservations in a good way, so they asked me to leave two times because they booked my bed to some other person until I told them I had reservations for 3 nights... This was a great hostel, especially after othe we had stayed at on the same street. Unfortunately we were only there for one night but they had loads of tourist information and really helpful staff. The breakfast was also really good! And just 5 mins from the beach with loads of good restaurants...

The character of this place is great. However, there are only 2 showers and toilets (not seperate) for the whole place. They are kept clean though. There are also no lockers for bags and the bedrooms aren{t locked. Otherwise a great place.

I saw a fight break out in front of the gate. There is no visible guard at the gate for the hostel alley. 4/6 staff members were "new" and were not very helpful in describing the hostel's facilities. 6/6 staff members had no suggestions or poor suggestions on where to eat, drink,... more I saw a fight break out in front of the gate. All staff members were friendly. The hostel was not fun. There were some significantly older travelers and young timid travelers. I disliked the facilities. 2 separate full-bathrooms for about 16 people. Does this make any sense? The locker/safe is reasonable. I could smell people smoking as I tried to sleep at night. There is no TV in hostel.close

We had a great time, the staff were friendly, helpful and relaxed. If you want to enjoy the beachlife, this hostel has the perfect location. Very close to good restaurants aswell. I can really recommend it to everyone here!
