The best hotel for the money, one problem it's 15/20 min walk from the centre. You can get a trolleybus then that will cut the journey time!!

Great place - a little out of the way, but still walkable from old town - breakfast included as well in already low cost

I was looking for the hotel at night for an hour. It would be very helpful if the hotel wrote in the Internet how to go to it from the airport, railway and bus stations and, even better, stood arrows to the hotel on the Skanstes iela.close

It's quite nice, just a bit far from city (40 in walk), but it doesn't matter, cause city is not that big and on the way to hotel u can discover many interesting things...like cheap places to eat in comparinson to the city.

A great hotel, a little way out of the city, easily accessed by a ride on the number 3 trolley bus. Very clean, very quiet, more of a quiet family venue, but perfectly placed for those who want to sleep soundly!

If you're looking for something cheap and cheerful, and you don't mind a 20 minute walk to the old town, this is the place for you. I would certainly consider staying there again.close

Cheap and simple place to stay if you have no demands of great location and extravagang facilities. No place to buy food in hotel. Breakfast simple but ok.

Relatively far from the center after 12 hours of "turist"-walking. Taxi from central railwaystation at night time was about 3 lats. The curtains let in the nordic sunlight at 6 a.m. Breakfast was basic yet good.

Always nice and bright and clean; and nice to be out of the city a little way; away from the gross tourist salacious sidedtreets, but out in the sun and clean air. Staff young and a little shy; able to help with direct questions; anything complex, need the help of the latvijian language; or the happy go-lucky silence of a tourist family content not to ask for too much. So very nice basic things. Said to wake me at 10, said I would be asleep afer eating breakfast; no-one woke me, when told the attentdant, she offered no helpful explanation; nor did she offer apology. I could have missed my meetings; but this exchange par for the course in a foreign country where English is not first language. I enjoy Skanste and like to begin my trips to Riga there.close

Slightly out-of-the-way location (a good 20 min walk into town centre and no public transport within immediate vacinity of hotel) but a great value for money hotel that offered clean, modern rooms with excellent breakfasts. Perfect if you are going to see an event at the Riga Arena..its right in...

I think the girl at reception was fantastic. She worked all night on new years eve and was still smiling in the morning. I gave her a bottle of champagne because she was so plesant. Well done!

Good value for money, comfortable rooms, definitely hotel rather than hostel style. Location is not ideal, although for those with cars there appears to be free parking.

Good quality/price -ratio (28LV/night in 2 bed private room with ensuite). When asked to call a taxi, you never got the real taxi. I guess staff called their friend with a normal car who then charged almost double price for the ride to the center (3 LVL). A real taxi from the center to the hotel cost around 1,5-2 LVL. There were no soundproof doors or walls, so it could get pretty noisy during the night, when you could hear everything what's happening in the hostel. Earplugs are a must in this hostel. Breakfast was quite alright.close

The location is a little too "outside" you have to walk 10 Minutes to get the bus. Because of the snow the streets were really muddy especially in front of the Hotel. But all in all we had a nice stay and can recommend the Hotel!!!close

Great hotel - warm, comfortable, decent breakfast and brilliant showers! Unfortunately its a 30 minute walk from town and opposite a building site for a huge ice hockey stadium. Oh, and the hotel has changed its name which might also be confusing. Still, enjoyed my stay.

Just be aware that the hotel is very close to the centre of the city and major trolleybus routes etc (10 mins walk to the end of Brivibas Iela) but there are no bars etc in the immediate vicinity. It is ever so quiet, the neighbours are all schools and petrol stations! There is a building site opposite (the new national hockey stadium) but any noise was only during waking hours. A Gem.close

Good quality for the money. It was good that the breakfest was served until 11 am. If you wish to stay a few hours after check-out time, it costs 2 LVLs (approx. 3€) an hour. It being located 2 kms from Riga centre wasn't all that cool, but the bus connections are fairly good.

Generally OK, no major problems apart from the building site next door (new hockey stadium)which woke me up most mornings. Also had a bit of trouble paying with my credit card and the staff seemed more interested in payment than helping me sort the problem out and get to the airport on time.
