Without comment, the staff wanted us check out one day before we have to. They recognized it was there mistake but do not apologize for the trouble we had. At all the staff is not appropriate for a 4 Stars Hotel.

Clean, and in the middle of Riga, rooms and the general decor is old and the hotel could do with a full re-vamp but overall it was good, we were on a stag so the hotel suited us if you wanted romance and style its not the one. their is also a casino beside it.

This is a great hotel. Situated right opposite the National Opera. The staff are friendly and the facilities very good. The one thing to watch is the sauna and pool prices: Free between 8-10am but cost up to 27L in the evening. Well worth staying here!

The hotel was in the best location in old town near to all the shops and the excellent nightlife. It is an old fashioned hotel and our room had nasty decoration. The bathroom was the worst part with a small bath and a shower that was not powerful and there the water was luke warm. When i... more The hotel was in the best location in old town near to all the shops and the excellent nightlife. It is an old fashioned hotel and our room had nasty decoration. The bathroom was the worst part with a small bath and a shower that was not powerful and there the water was luke warm. When i complianed about the tv not working the room being cold and the water being cold the staff responed inmediatly. We got a new tv, and heaters, and we changed rooms. The staff were very helpful and gave us a bowl of complimetary fruit. We really enjoyed our stay there and the breakfast was nice with everything you could want. We would stay there again.close

The Hotel Riga is in the center, very good. It is an old, old fashioned hotel. So only choose it, if you like it. Our main problem was, that there was no hot water. After some room changes, we got once a possibility to have a bath, and once a shower, but this is really unpleasant. I deduced...

There was NO hot water! For the amount we paid and with the weather not going above 4 degrees celsius this was totally unacceptable.

The hotel was clean and incredibly well located, but is very dated and fairly basic for a four star hotel. The showers were always cold and the beds uncomfortable. The hot breakfast buffet was good, but in general the hotel does not live upto it's four star promise. In summary, not good value...

We booked a double room but it came with twin single beds pushed together - we would have liked a proper double bed!

Hotel was not aware of the 10% deposit paid at the time of booking. This should be rectified for future bookings. Great Hotel!
