The hotel occupies a five-storey Art-Nouveau building in the central part of Riga built in 1910 designed by architect J. Asaris. During the years 1998-2000 it was under partial reconstruction. After the restoration of independence in the Republic of Latvia, the hotel 'VIKTORIJA' was one of the first to obtain the status of a private hotel in 1993, and it is owned by the company 'Rigas Viesis' Ltd. Hotel 'VIKTORIJA' is a member of the Latvian Hotel and Restaurants Association. In 1996 the hotel 'VIKTORIJA' was awarded a certificate of Three Stars status, it is a tourist class hotel with good service and reasonable price.
