everything was very fine, especially the real nice kitchen and the common room. But in our room we had some painting tins and it smelled really bad...so we had to put them away and everything was fine.

But this does not prevent you from partying elsewhere and from having a good sleep at this hostel afterwards. It is about a 7min walk away from the Old Town and it is situated in the top floor of the building. The hostel is very clean (in particular toilets/showers/beds+blankets). There is a nice big kitchen which you can use to cook a meal or to make some (free) coffee/tea. Furthermore, there is free internet access and they have a big collection of DVDs, so you can have a nice break before going out partying (this justifies an excellent for the fun rating). And, most important: the manager is very nice and she will help you wherever she can. Summary: Very good hostel and you won't regret booking some nights there, if you have no problem with not being allowed to party directly in the hostel.close

Really enjoyed Barons. A small intimate hostel where you can rest up and cook a good meal for yourself as theres a decent kitchen available. This is not a party hostel as the common room closes at 12am.
