But the best time for partying Friday and Saturday. Rejkjavik - small town and you can walk there one day, but then you have to think about other places. There ae lot\'s of them, because you are in Iceland and volcanoes, caves, geysers and swimming pools are waiting for you. Cafes and restaurants are expensive. You can try to do nothing, relaxing - but better to do this in summer. In winter the weather changes from sun to rain in 5 minuts. And you should remember that it is really VERY windy. Shops are expensive but they do exist. Public transport (one-way trip) costs 3.5 euroes. to eat in KFC will cost you 9 -12 euroes. Not the best pizza in downtown - 17 euroes. There are hot-dog cafes but they don\'t sell beer, only coca-cola like drinks. It is the chiepest way to have a snack and will cost about 4 - 5 euroesclose

  “ Make good planning for your stay if you come for Easter, the only day shops/all restaurants were open was saturday. Many good excursions available, plenty of operators, compare what you get for the money you pay. Some were really nice, some really crowded (40 people trying to get up on… more horses when it's raining cats and dogs) and some just take maximum profits from fool tourists. Renting a car would have been good choice if the weather would have been better. And always great if you know some locals who could help. Be prepared to pay a lot for your meals. Breathtaking nature and scenery, absolutely worth visiting!close

While the pools were wonderful and the buses timely, 3 of the 4 museums we tried to go to were closed. We did, however, fall in love with our guest house, and with the late sunrise and early sunset found it quite easy to catch up on sleep and relaxing.close
