A great fun hostel. I would recomend. It is a bit far from the beach but once you get your head around the town it is not so bad. The character and people here make it amazing!

Overall an excellent hostel. Clean and secure. The staff is awesome. Very good service. I love the location as well, about 20 minutes walk to the beach, 10 minutes to old town. Highly recommend this hostel =)

it is a really nice hostel, great breaky, great beds and bathrooms, just in such a bad location. as a solo traveller i couldnt really go for a walk into town after the sun had set. its a great town but need to pick the backpackers up and move it closer to the beach!

I love this hostel. It is immaculate, the staff is friendly and helpful, free internet, CHEAP beer, the location is a short bus ride from downtown, the decor is beautiful, free lockers, it is pretty close to perfect. The only 2 things I would like to see to make it better are that the bunk beds... more I love this hostel. The only 2 things I would like to see to make it better are that the bunk beds need to be restored (they are SUPER shaky and unstable) and maybe some air con or more fans, as it gets SO HUMID. A lot of people complain about all the street noise but you get used to it.close

This was a great hostel. Take the tunnel bus to get there. Can walk to the beach in about 20 minutes. It is really clean and great services. One of the best hostels I have stayed in. Would definetely go back.

If going to Puerto Vallarta, you must stay at Oasis Hostel. It honestly made our trip; the staff is wonderful, and we met so many fun/ interesting people while there. The walk down to the beach isn't too bad, just ask the employees at the hostel the best way to get to the beach.

I think that most people who use this site will be happy with this hostel. It is a short walk from the tourist area and the nice beaches although the hostel itself does not have a great view. The owner's family lives in their own private area in the hostel so that really enhances security. The major drawback is that the hostel is NOT quiet and there is a gap between the top of the wall and the ceiling in every room so people using the common areas late at night can keep others awake. The breakfast is free each day before 10:30am and it was a bonus as it was good (ham and eggs and tang). A home away from home....Thank you to Juan, Julio, Alex, Adella, and cleaning staff!!! A very good hostel. The owner and his family live on site so security is quite good and the place is kept very clean. Not a very busy place but I stayed her in April, it would probably get busier in summer. Location is good. 5 minutes to the shops, 20 to the beach, 2 minutes to the taco stand.

I was put off at first by complaints in previous reviews but this place is pretty good. Apart from a little noisy, Its a 2min bus to town, the owners is great, its clean, safe. And the only hostel in town at the moment.

I enjoyed the hostel, but there was a lot of noise from the main road out front in the mornings, so packing ear-plugs is recommended.

This hostel was great! Though I think our positive interactions with the owner may have been a result of his wife being away, but he was fantastic! However, I think it would be hard to stay here if you don't speak any spanish.

This place plainly sucked... It is very noisy because of traffic and it's not really close to down-town PV. I left after half my stay, but others seemed to like the place...

We met a lot of great people and had a lot of fun but a few of the other backpackers had locks cut and money stolen. We moved into a private room after a few days and the cleaner left our room unlocked every day which was a bit anoying.

Super clean, friendly staff, great 15 minute walk to the beach through the neighbourhood, not to mention breakfast every morning! If the hostel owner instructs you to take the bus to Ixtapa to get to the airport, be weary... This will end you in the middle of no where.... Get off when you see the costco! :)

Not located in the commercialized center of Puerto Vallarta, which is nice. The beach is only about a 10 minute walk away. It's located on a busy street, so bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper. Otherwise a great place. Nice balconies. Highly recommend.

They had a free party with tequila and tacos when we were there which was fun! A little way from town or the beach but right outside the bus stop for both places. A great place to stay!
