There is no fast and furious city life here, when it happens it happens. The beaches are beautiful, especially puerto piramides. The distances are vast so come with patience. Don\'t miss the penguin tour to Punta Tombo. The whale watching is pure luck, one day we saw some one day we only saw one.close

Don´t eat the meat or salami from the supermarket, UNLESS you want three days of food poisoning from hell!!! Other than the tours, the onyl thing to do here is scuba dive (cool with seals and boat wrecks). If you´ve done all this, get the hell out of there....close

If the weather's nice, it's a great town to chill a few days at the seashore, where you can see the whales playing and passing by. However, it is really expensive for Argentinian standards - expect to pay at least US$60 for a day trip to visit the Península including whale-watching (which was really cool though). But then again, if you've been in Patagonia before, you already knew.close

1Fantastic hostel in the heart of Puerto Madryn. The bunks were comfortable, the rooms made of lovely wood, and the new-seeming lockers were giant compared to other hostels as well as came with their own locks. Overall great place to stay.
