  “ This city is a great place to visit for a few days. Walking around the streets is one of lifes great spectacles, so be prepared for neck ache at the end of the day from looking upwards. The castle is the main attraction, with views of the city being superb. Make sure you watch the changing… more of the guard, far more intertesting than our own in london. There's a great atmosphere to the city and a buzz of excitment from everyone having a great time. although yes, the service by staff working in the city is lackluster and can be poor, this will of course depend on where you go and the luck of the draw. Food service is very relaxed, though after a wait it is some of the finest cuisine I have tasted in Europe. Walk to places in the city that are not obvious and you will be rewarded. There are some great jazz venues and talented musicians in the city. The city square is a must, but be sure to take warm clothes. The charles bridge is beautiful, if crowded, i advise to do what our group did and walk across at 4am to beat the hoards and look at the banks of the river in quiet. Make time for the Monastery at the top of the hill,its spectacular. It was busy on january 2nd and 3rd, so god knows how busy this city gets in the summer.close

Perhaps,the people are not educated to deal with international tourists. - Flooded with tourists everywhere (I went in late September and it was packed). - Scams everywhere (gambling) - Graffiti is everywhere especially on the metro system - Locals allow their children to urinate in public because they cannot or refuse to use paid toilets. - Crime (Everyday I witnessed someone being arrested. No lie!) - The city can be seen in about 2- 3 days max. - Traditional Czech culture is not present in the city. Instead, corny American and knock-off shows are the norm. I will never go back to this city. It doesn't deserve credit as an international travel destination. Czecclose

Watch out on the metro system though, I went to… more check out exactly where I had to take the metro from early the following morning, because I had an early flight, but I was done for not having a ticket. I was given the equivalent of a Euro30.00 fine. You must have a valid ticket even if you are not on the trams themselves. Most locals have some English but a few words of Czech are greatly appreciated. Prague is a very walkable city so you don't really need to use public transport. It is quite touristy though so I would recommend visiting off season. I would have no hesitation in recommending a trip to Prague.close

  “ Prague is packed with history and charisma. The sights are well kept and certainly aren't a let down. The prices are still cheap and accomodation is very good. The food is cheap as hell and extremely good quality....The castle offers great views of the city while Charles Bridge always seems… more to have performers and exhibitions on to keep you entertained. This city is a sheer delight and is a must for anyone serious about travelling Europe...close

  “ Amazing place, beautiful cathedrals and great pubs. Rocky o reillys is the place to go for food and drink, they do veggie breakfasts !!! They also have a shooting range which is the best around and great vaule for money. Loads of steakhouses for the meat eaters. Do not stay in the Adria… more hotel, staff were very unhelpful.... I'd recommend the old reliable 4 seasons or the radisson. Designer shops on every corner !!!!!! got beautiful Dior shoes : ) If you go on one sightseeing tour make sure it is the cathedral of bones. Its a small city so you can walk it all, loads of side alley ways that all have shops and lovely bars, cafes. Amazing holiday defo going back.close

We arrived here from Ottawa, Canada which is -20 right now. Even so it is only -6 here in Prague it feels much colder, as it is a humid type of cold.… more Overall, the city is amazing. Shopping is a little cheaper than in Canada, but not much. Food is for sure ten times better than Ottawa, Canada and much cheaper. Great place to visit.close
