If you're JUST looking for a place to put down your head and are 100% sure you wont need any help from the non-speaking hotel clerks, then I still would NOT recommend this place. Keep searching...

this is more like a Hotel not a Hostel,a simple hotel , good for family or people who want to rest in a quiet Place, close enough to the city center.in one word, " it is good enough "

the staff is excellent and very welcoming. One thing desappointing: parking is an extra-charge not precised on the website.

Excelent hotel, the staff was very helpful and nice, and the breakfast included was very good too. It was like 3 blocks from a metor station, but walking in Prague is a pleasure. Not one complaint about this one :D.

Despite numerous warnings and complaints about ABE Hotel, we choose to stay in this hotel because of its location. They charged us triple the price for a room on new year's eve. We arrived early and were told to return at 2pm(check in time). Upon returning, she then revealed to us that half of the hotel is no longer habitable due to a piping problem and it is not their fault. They sent us of to some dodgy place on the outskirts of Prague city(so much for good location). The so called hotel that she sent us off to in a cab was actually a small rented room above a pub in some neighbourhood which was rather dark and unsafe at night. It was new year's eve and we had no choice but to stay there one night which we then moved to another hostel which was so much cheaper yet better. Such a rip off! They should have at least refunded us the difference between the amount we paid and the cost of renting that room, which was in the middle of no where. I'm never coming back.close

We stayed for 4 nights, for the first 2 there was no hot water. The room was clean when we arrived but was not cleaned the first day and I had to go to the reception to get some clean towels. After that the room was cleaned but not very well.

Generally a pleasant stay. No complaint about the accomodation or staff but the hotel does sell itself as having a bar. Not exactly true as the bar means cans of drink sold from the reception desk. I think they should come clean and say canned drinks available from reception

The location of this property is misleadng it is not 500m from Wenceslas square. The train station is a bit of a walk and there are no elevators which means we had to carry our luggage up 3 floors. However the place is clean and secure and the breakfast is good and staff were very helpful as well.

The original part of the hotel looked a little run down however, not as nice as the bit we stayed in. The hotel is a couple of mins from a metro station and trams and about 10 mins from the main town square. The staff were friendly and the group i was with were all pleased with the room.close

Arrived to see a dirty old door with pieces of paper with notes scrawled in Czech sellotaped to door. Rang bell which did not work- man from bar next door said to come to bar to sort out paperwork to enter hotel. Luckily for me, the credit card machine wasn't working. Opened locked door to "hotel", on right hand side was door which looked like flat door which he opened, and one of the offside rooms he opeend and said was my hotel room! Places on upper floors were private residents in own flats and businesses. No recption. Room was awful: they put a really old hand towel on bottom of bed and said this would be my bath towel! Room needed a good lick of painty; no towels for hands in bathroom, no soap in bathroom. Only old alarm clock, wardrobe and bed with old linen on it. NOT RECOMMENDED: be careful with these people. Breakfast was going to be done in the bar next door. I complained and people in bar were very hostile: said I couldn't leave (I hadn't stayed there 1 night) until I had paid for a room in the "hotel" as well as the deposit. When I complained specifically about towels, woman just looked at me and shrugged her shoulders. She said room was not good because something was being doen to the electrics, but there was no electrics work going on; I believe it to be an excuse . There was a place for TVbut no TV was there. Please avoid at all costs. I recommend San Marco on same road in Legerova: excellent service, beautiful rooms and when lucky, you get a balcony! and only £10 extra than this fraudulent hotelclose

The property is more like a hostel than a hotel. It has no reception area or security, although you do have a key to the front door. There are no saftey deposits boxes or safe and the cleaners have access to the rooms during the stay. The rooms are clean but very basic.
