On some back alley streets, near the Jewish quarter. Staff isn't on site; only for check-ins. Quiet place to keep your stuff. Keep in mind, I probably just rated this so poorly because I didn't like Prague.

This hostel was good - free internet, nice big kitchen, good security, great location. The staff aren't on-site, but it wasn't a problem for us. The owners were very pleasant to us when we saw them. Good inexpensive Italian nearby and really close to the main square.

Definitely a place to come back!close

Check in is at 14:00, staff isn't always there so we had some trouble getting in. Once we were checked in though, it was an excelent place to stay.

we really enjoyed our stay here, but you should be aware that this isn't a hostel in the traditional sense- it's actually like living in an apartment. the guy who runs it is very friendly but rarely there (readily available, though) so you get a lot of privacy. great place, highly recommended!

Very central, just a few steps from the main square. The beds weren't very comfortable, but it's really recommendable for young people. Unfortunately, there was no hot water for half a day.

It's a great place 1minute walk to the Old Town. I found it a bit weird, that you need to call the owners before you arrive and after 30 minutes they come to the hostel.

The location is really excellent, surrounded by shopping mall, resto and bars. Just 2 min walks to the tourist attraction area. Also, the staffs are great, very comfortable staying there.

The direction to the hostel that has been posted on the internet seems easy to find. However, I find that the tram already changed the route and the hostel sign is ridiculously small. I used 2 hours longer than plan to get to this hostel.

the location is great but very hard to find because there is no sign outside the building only a small sticker on the wall!! we've spent more than half hour walking in front of the hostel because the sticker is so small~ besides this, every thing is great.

staff isnt always present at the hostel, so it might me a little bit annoying to agree on a check out time to hand over the keys plus you dont always have somebody to ask for infos...but nontheless a lot nicer, cleaner, charming than most hostels i stayed at during my eastern europe trip

All in all was a good choice for us.close

Location is excellent. The ability to cook your own meals is great. Prague has a couple of train stations you can arrive at, so just check the specific directions from the arrival station to Hostel Pompo. There are only 3 rooms which makes the character intimate and friendly.

His explanation and the one we had from the people at Le Papillon were contradictory, so we didn't really know why we couldn't have the room we had paid for. The whole thing caught us by surprise, since the only previous notice was an email they sent the night before and we didn't have the chance to check it. So we had to accept a double room in this small creepy overcrowded hostel, which barely offered the minimum comfort and cleanliness. And spite the location and conditions of Le Papillon were worse we had to pay the same price.close

Nice, very small hostel. It is basically a converted flat. The location is central to Old Town, you can walk basically anywhere you want to go. The hostel is not so fun inside, but there are so many jazz clubs nearby, and there is a dance club right on the corner almost downstairs. Very fun!
