This was a great place to stay, Radlicka tube station is 5mins walk away, which gives you access to all of prague. Ota, the owner was very freindly, helpful and accommodating, and the rooms were good especially for the price! highly reccommended, we enjoyed ourselves! Alex & Danielle

Otto the owner is very accomodating and makes a lovely breakfast, the accomodation is a little out of the way but easily accessabe by the metro, taking you to prague city centre in under 20 minutes. If you want peace away from the boozy crowds then this is the place

Ota's breakfast was fantastic, and he was extremely helpful with his advice for the sights of Prague. Bedroom was a very good size, and it was great to have a washer and the use of free Internet! But really, Ota himself is the number 1 reason to stay at this B & B -- he's a hip and helpful Bohemian soul.close

The owner Ota runs a very friendly place and the facilities are second to none. The house is split into several apartments, each with its own facilities. I was in a two bedroom apartment with its own kitchen for self catering, living room and bathroom. Breakfast is served in a communal kitchen where you can meet all the residents of the house. Fast internet is provided in each apartment. It is located about 15-20 mins from the city centre (ie Mustek Metro stop). It is a 3 minute walk from Radlicka Metro station which is in a non-residential area. This is really its only fault but this is a tiny negative compared with all the positives. Really good value.close

If you don't-there's a computer in the downstairs living room that anyone can use. From the hostelworld description it sounded like this hostel was way out from the city, but in reality, it's about a 10 minute metro ride. Also, it's not right next to the metro stop, so there's no noise and such, but it is a straight walk about 4 minutes up one road-brightly lit at night and no people on it, so plenty safe. Not hard to find at all. It was the nicest place I've ever stayed in travelling-nicer than some of the hotels I've had. It's a 2 storey house, and there are doors(& locks) between every part of it, so there's a great feeling of privacy and quiet. The upstairs and the downstairs have seperate facilities; kitchens, living rooms and bathrooms, For example, if you stay in the 2 or 3 person rooms in the downstairs, you are only ever sharing things with 4 other people-kitchen, bathroom, shower. The kitchens are clean and airy, and rooms themselves are 12' ceilings with nice large windows and they're furnished as well with dressers, sofas, and very large wardrobes which have locks on them-good for storing things. Facilities: I would rate this as more of a 3-3.5 star hotel than a hostel, because it was pleasant, quiet and clean. There were some teeny tiny black ants the first couple days, but it was because the windows had been opened. Not a problem, when you consider the states of some other hostels out there...This was by far the nicest hostel I've ever stayed at. Also, there's a clothes washer in the utility room, and a clothes-line in every room, so you can do laundry if you need to. Location: if you want to party hard all night long every night and swagger home drunk, this isn't the place. On the other hand, if you like to party hard like everyone else, but then have a place to come home to away from the noise and partying, this would be a good place for you. I also went to some of the hostels in the center of Prague, even ones close to Wenceslaus Square, and they were nasty-some right next door to sex shops and clubs; not a problem if you are up for that, and that's fine-but it was just very intensely populated, and a lot of constant noise- if you're here to hit Prague hard and fast, and get as much in as you can, partying and all, then go there. But if you want to take in Prague, have partying for the evenings, and then sleeping peacefully at night, going back for more the following morning, then this is the place for you. Cheers fellow hostelers.close

I wouldnt be too happy walking alone in the district, but it didnt feel threatening. Each flat has its own communal area but the kitchen area was locked so you have to eat in the owners kitchen. There are hi fi speakers all through the house and outside areas so radio or various cd's are played from 8.30 am until midnight -all rather loudly. Good value for money, take earplugs, a liking for U2 and a sense of humour and you will be fine.close

What a nice man this Ota, the host. He tells good stories and is very helpful. Lovely and a good place to sleep well. I will go again soon. The car-project on the garden is very interesting...and the morningmusic is very good choice to start the day.

First impressions are not good as you come out of the station because of all the building going on, but once you get to the hostel everything is fine. Ota is a very vibrant character and makes people feel welcome. A map of how to get to his place would help a lot as well as written instructions

We stayed here for three nights and the guy that ran it was superb. It was only 5 stops on the metro from the centre and very accessible. Although basic, it was clean and had all we needed. I would definately recommend this is you're looking for a cheap, basic b & b that is just outside of town.
