Shared male/female dorm rooms, but comfortable beds and it was a bit of an older crowd so we had fun going out at night but by late it was quiet enough to sleep. Kichen is clean and fully equipped (it\' the family\'s kitchen). Not quite in the centre of Porto, but on the metro, so easy connections to the centre and the airport. I would definitely stay here again!close

It\'s slightly dirty with lots of hills, but the cheap food and delicious Port wine more than make up for that. It\'s a slow-paced city, and you just want to relax and enjoy everything. You kind of feel like if you see more than one sight a day, you\'re going too fast. Granted, there aren\'t too many sights, but I could have stayed much longer. Plus, the food is so cheap. I ordered a menú at lunch with a drink, soup and sandwich (a big one, packed with all kinds of stuff) for 4,40€. That is unbeatable.close

Big cafe culture but very few pub bar type places, all food served with chips and rice, I was expecting more tapas and fish, but hey ho, got that wrong. Wish I had stayed home in the UK for a weekend break. Travelled in Feb so weather not all that, but I met other people who found it quite boring here - sorry Porto!! A very hilly town, so if mobility is an issue, not a good place for you.close

We met a very nice restaurant owner Maria Leanor Conto, on the Avenida Ramos Pinto, Restaurant: Sabores d'Aldeia, lovely home cooking and a very nice lady with lots of stories about the locality, her Grandfather played on a Porto Football team in 1926! We would definitely go back!close

It's a regular 3-star hotel, not a hostel. Just perfect as for the amount of money I paid.

1Ideally located hotel right on the main shopping street, with helpful staff. Not really a hostel so don't come to meet fellow travellers, but a good hotel choice if you're going on a budget airline short break like we did.
