Port Douglas is located in far north Queensland and is a really top spot. It serves as the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef so if you do fancy some scuba diving or snorkelling make Port Douglas your base. But the town itself is pretty special too...great restaurants, lively pubs and great Sunday markets.

The drive from Cairns to Port Douglas is one of the most beautiful coast lines I have ever seen. You know you won't be disappointed when you get to Port Douglas. There really is lots to do ,Four mile beach for swimmming and sunbathing , you can sail to to an Island, go to the outer barrier reef , visit the Sunday markets, Mossman Gorge and the Daintree Rainforest
