Great location and facilities with helpful staff and extras such as free breakfast and bike hire. Only suggestion would be to put a thin blanket or duvet on single beds- a bit chilly at night sometimes. However, I was given an extra sheet when I asked for it.

Not much to say about this hostel, it served its purpose. Great location, clean but get the feeling the staff would prefer to be elsewhere and surprisingly its a bit noisy. Breakfast is toast, tea and cereal.

Excellent central location, good breakfast included, new manager is very friendly, mingles with everyone and listens to any issues they may have, great work. Lovely clean pool and sun loungers to chill on a hot day. I'd recommend this hostel.

This is absolutely one of the best hostels I´ve ever been. The staff was the best. They did everything they could (and more) to help you with tripbooking etc. I would love to go back to Port Douglas only because of Parrot Fish Lodge.

Great hostel conveniently located close to beach and main street in town. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. I booked an all female room however ended up with two males in my room but apart from that I loved it!

Parrot Fish lodge is an excellent place to base yourself to explore the area. Clean, spacious rooms. A must. Lonely planet gave it rave reviews and I have stayed here in 2003 and now again in 2006. Worth a visit.
