Plzen is just as historical as Prague, without the endless reams of touristy gimics and excuses to spend your money. The Pilsner Urquell brewery and separate museum are musts! Great thing about Plzen is you get a little more of a sight into the 'real' Czech Rep - without breaking the bank! Oh and it boasts the largest pub in Czech Rep too - worth a trip i recon, just for that! |

Go to the Pilsner Urquell brewery. There is an incredible Christmas market (better than in the bigger cities) in the main plaza in the days until Christmas. |
