Our house is situated in Korenica (657m/asl), cultural and administrative centre of National Park Plitvice Lakes We are located in quiet street near Korenica city centre, and from the big terrace we have great view on the top of the mountain Gola Pljesevica (1646 m/asl). From the entrance in National Parc Plitvice Lakes (starting point to visit lakes) we are 15 km far (10-15 minutes by car). In Korenica you can by foot climb mountain Mrsinj (1259 m/asl) where you can find ruins of medieval fortress Mrsinj Grad (1097 m). In front of our house there is plenty space to park you car, and in short proximity(500m) there is more shops, restaurants, pharmacy, bank, and the bus station. For bikers we have garage available. There is possibility of breakfast to be served for you in the dining/living room or terrace. Our family is offering private accommodation since 1983.

For those arriving by bus - we were dropped at a different place to where show on the map given to us by the owner of the hostel. If you are dropped outside Restaurant Macola (as apposed to the Hotel)walk in the direction of Plitvice and you'll see the signs a couple of hundred meters on. The... more For those arriving by bus - we were dropped at a different place to where show on the map given to us by the owner of the hostel. If you are dropped outside Restaurant Macola (as apposed to the Hotel)walk in the direction of Plitvice and you'll see the signs a couple of hundred meters on. The kitchen facilities consist of only a fridge and a table, but the bedrooms were spacious and the house itself was very pretty. Nice for a short stay.close

Location wasnt great and the description was mis-leading. Korenica was about 20km away from the national park which meant alot of waiting around for expensive buses. Wouldnt have been a problem with a car. The accomodation was excellent and staff were very friendly.

"Close from the lakes" What a joke! The lakes are 10km away from this hostel, which is very poor! Whereas it is not the cheapest one, when I ask: "breakfeast time?" the owner laughed at me.
