The Duomo, or Cathedral, dates back to the beginning of the 11th century. It's dome was added in 1380 and was the first of its kind in Europe. Along with the dome, the Cathedral's biggest draws are the three huge pairs of 16th C bronze doors.

    This is a lovely Cathedral beside the "Leaning Tower". Technically the leaning-tower is the bell tower for the cathedral. There is a really nice large square at the front of the cathedral & tower, which when we were there had market stalls selling loads of souvenirs etc. The area... more
