Description of Royal Victoria Hotel

The historic Hotel of Pisa. This building has been a Tavern, an Inn and Hotel for about 1,000 years. Since 1837 it has had the same family management. The only Hotel overlooking the River Arno, in the oldest part of the historic centre, the Royal Victoria is also in the heart of the Shopping and University areas, and in the most popular Dining Out district. The Leaning Tower is within a very short walk across the most charming medieval streets and piazzas. We will be delighted to introduce you to Pisa and its surroundings, from the hillside to the sea, for a day trip or a special evening! The Hotel has a multi-lingual, young and motivated staff. Front Desk and Bar service are open 24-hours. We offer a Rich Continental Breakfast, included in the price. You may also relax on our charming terrace or visit the Art Exhibition areas inside the hotel. The rooms all have character and style and certainly will leave you with a true sense of Tuscan hospitality. We have a secure Private Garage inside the building. The hotel is very practical for those using the International Airport, less than 2 km away. The Central Train Station is only 1 km away.

This is a charming hotel, full of old character with original victorian period features and old photographs, almost like a museum, so if you are looking for something modern and high tech, this is not the hotel for you. Breakfast is included and has a wide selection. There is a terrace on the... more

It was so nice to come here and get a big comfortable bed and talk to nice staff! They have a beatiful roof garden where you can bring drinks, and the city center is 2 minutes away. You walk to the leaning tower in 10 minutes. We would absolutely come back

Old fashioned hotel kept in style of the era it portrays in it's name. Accomodation was basic (shared facilities) and promised internet connection from webpage was not available. "It will installed next week" was the response... Am guessing it is the standard response EVERY week.... more

This Hotel has a good location. However, the lady at the front desk was not to helpfull when asked questions regarding directions. She should expect these types of question being in the tourism industry. I would not stay there again or refer to friends or family for that reason. Very poor service.

When I arrived at the hotel, I must say that from the outside and the entrance lobby it looked very nice, and I thought at that point I had made the right choice. When I saw the room however I was very disappointed. It was shabby, the walls were in need of some attention, and had I not been... more

The Royal Victoria Hotel is a lovely hotel with a great deal of character. We were given a traditional room (306)overlooking the river and a church tower. The breakfast in the morning was superb. We unfortunaetly had a room that was on the only main road and Pisa and got maybe an hour or two of sleep that night because of the traffic.. I guess the upside was that we were close to the main shopping drag and 5 min walk to the tower..

Great (very) old hotel in the centre of Pisa, right on the river. It has a lot of old world charm, but is perhaps slightly faded - which doesn't affect our opinion!
