The historic Hotel of Pisa. This building has been a Tavern, an Inn and Hotel for about 1,000 years. Since 1837 it has had the same family management. The only Hotel overlooking the River Arno, in the oldest part of the historic centre, the Royal Victoria is also in the heart of the Shopping and University areas, and in the most popular Dining Out district. The Leaning Tower is within a very short walk across the most charming medieval streets and piazzas. We will be delighted to introduce you to Pisa and its surroundings, from the hillside to the sea, for a day trip or a special evening! The Hotel has a multi-lingual, young and motivated staff. Front Desk and Bar service are open 24-hours. We offer a Rich Continental Breakfast, included in the price. You may also relax on our charming terrace or visit the Art Exhibition areas inside the hotel. The rooms all have character and style and certainly will leave you with a true sense of Tuscan hospitality. We have a secure Private Garage inside the building. The hotel is very practical for those using the International Airport, less than 2 km away. The Central Train Station is only 1 km away.

We unfortunaetly had a room that was on the only main road and Pisa and got maybe an hour or two of sleep that night because of the traffic.. I guess the upside was that we were close to the main shopping drag and 5 min walk to the tower..

This hostel was in a good location, close to the station and to the Tower, although there seemed to be lots of noise from outside. Staff were friendly, and there were no problems in leaving our bags behind after we checked out, nor before we checked in. Air conditioning would have been helpful,...

The hotel is beautiful, perfectly located and the staff excellently professional but also very friendly and caring. My sister had a health problem and needed medical assistance, they helped us to deal with that and showed a lot of interest.

The hotel is very acceptable. About a 10 to 15 minute walk to the tower, but does benefit from being on the riverbank. It was undergoing refurbishment whilst I was there and the roof terrace bar was closed due to private filming.

Don't forget to bring ear plugs as italian cities (especially at such a central spot) are sometimes a bit noisy. Nice stay, enjoy the special atmosphere in the historic building! My third stay and I'll return. A charming hotel, great breakfast and lots of period style, situated right on the riverside. A great base for exploring Tuscany as there are frequent trains and buses to most towns.

Nice quiet place to stay. Right at the river and an easy walk to the Leaning Tower, Duomo, and Church. They had a good breakfast selection. The shared shower we used didn't drain well though and we had to cut our showers quick to advoid flooding it! Don't let the water run too long if using it!

Nice! Corridor echo's like hell. The people that checked in at 10pm next door to us were laughing in disbelief and refused to stay in these rooms. After an awesome week traveling Italy staying in lovely hotels at off-season rates, this was VERY disappointing given it was our second most expensive hotel (sorry this is a BUDGET hotel) and couldn't even get a double bed for that price. Wish we had listened to negative reviews on other websites. Never again staying here!!!close

A great place if you're looking for more thrifty rates, which otherwise seem to be hard to find in Pisa. Bathroom wasn't in my room so it was a bit of a walk. The regular rooms however are nicer and I would prolly ante up the extra 10 € if I ever came back. Overall niceplace to stay.

Additionally, the travel agency located next door made it easy to book train tickets. The hotel was a 10-15 min. walk from the train station. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel had a very interesting historical character to it and was lined with pictures from an extensive history. The included breakfast was well-stocked and served in a very beautiful dining room. The building included an elevator which was helpful. My only 2 reservations would be that the locks on the doors to the room were antiquated and difficult to open. This resulted in us questioning the security of the rooms although we didn't have any problems with this. Secondly, being structured more of a hotel than a hostel, there was very little fun to be found here. No common room and the type of person staying at the hotel seemed to be very diverse. Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay at the hotel and would return.close
